When you have a dream, you can do one of two things; keep it a dream or take the steps to turn that dream into a reality. Chad Castelo chose to chase that dream, the dream of building the ultimate Mugen Honda NSX.
Fresh out of college, Chad had his mind set on purchasing an NSX. The first NSX he looked at was the one he was ready to purchase, only for it to be sold to another person. Months passed and Chad couldn’t find anything as good as the first NSX he inspected. As fortune would have it, the very same car was up for sale six months later and Chad didn’t delay with the purchase this time round.
The first modification to the car was the wheels, probably one of the most important decisions an enthusiast can make. We all know how much wheel selection makes or breaks a car. To fit in theme with the NSX, Chad decided to stick with something model specific and with sizing made specifically for the NSX, Mugen M7’s. After doing some online searching, Chad was lucky to have found a set in the U.S.
Being his first Mugen purchase, Chad wasn’t sure what else there was in the way of Mugen parts for the NSX. He frantically began searching online and found nothing available in the United States, however Japan and Europe were a different story. One by one he began finding Mugen parts and in what was the better half of eight years, he has created what we think is the ultimate Mugen Honda NSX.
