Looks can be deceiving. It’s not often you find a car on the street that truly defines the term sleeper. At first glance, this rather ordinary looking MKV Volkswagen Golf R32 could be just like all the others out on the road; but don’t be fooled. Anthony Mitchell’s twin-turbo R32 catapults from 0-100km/h in just 3.2 seconds!
The HPA 3.6-litre twin-turbo setup under the bonnet of Anthony’s Golf produces 650hp. It’s currently on HRE R40 Matte Black wheels in 18x9in running PS2 Michelin tyres. Stopping force is controlled by partner company, Audi. R8 eight-piston Brembos with 365x34mm discs are fitted up front, and Brembo four pots live at the rear with Audi RS4 335x32mm discs.
