In May of 2014, Tesla Motors opened its doors for pre-orders of the iconic Tesla Model S. From today, Tesla will begin deliveries of the new Model S down under, which means you’ll be seeing a lot more around the country.
The Tesla Model S is an uncompromised electric vehicle that delivers 502 kilometres of range on a single charge. With a 17-inch touchscreen, an outstanding safety record, and an acceleration of 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, the fully electric Model S has redefined automotive design and engineering.
A Supercharger can replenish half of Model S’s 502 KM range in as little as 20 minutes. Superchargers enable long distance travel and are typically located near amenities like restaurants and shopping centres so travelers can stop for a quick meal or coffee break while charging. By the end of 2015, the Tesla Supercharger network will connect Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney, and by 2016 the network will connect all major cities along the east coast of Australia.
