Featuring cars from overseas is not something we’ve done much of in the past here at T-LD. So when photographer, Jordan, approached us with these shots of his daily driven Golf, we were keen to get them on the blog. Clean and low with a handful of simple touches, Jordan has demonstrated the ‘less is more’ look perfectly.
We met Jordan recently when he visited Australia on a trip from his home in Florida. The modest approach he has taken to modifying his MKV GTI has resulted in this understated look set off by the Mercedes SL500 Alphard alloys. Jordan had the wheels coated in a white finish to match the car and outsourced the suspension setup in the Golf to an American specialist known as Air Lift. The full kit uses a digital Bagriders air management control system.
Jordan tells us that future plans for the car involve a custom rear bumper, shaved front bumper, shaved engine bay, a Forge Motorsport Twintercooler and Twintake induction system, big brake kit, custom exhaust and a completely new air suspension setup for the car to sit lower (we thought he was joking too!). Currently these are the only images of the car getting around, but you can expect a full follow-up feature of the car once its undergone the above changes.
Volkswagen’s Golf GTI has fuelled several discussions amongst the T-LD team. The platform is so diverse and presents a blank canvas for all kinds of modifiers. With nothing more than a Stage 1 software flash from Revo, Jordan’s GTI makes 245hp. The wide range of Golf styles is coming through in local cars and we’re keen to bring you some of the best ones soon.
So HOT!
