We’re passionate Japanese car guys here at T-LD, but behind the scenes we’ve all sold our Japanese cars (apart from Mitch’s R32 GT-R) and bought European ones. Not sure why, probably just a phase! But Adam has gone and done a few things to his Mk5 Golf that we thought we should show you. This is his new daily, and there’s more to it than meets the eye.

Adam had an Evolution V before this, so the standard Golf was pretty tame by comparison. To fix that he bought a set of 17×9+45 Enkei RPF1s. “You have to buy 9s in an RPF1 to get the flat face,” he says. That’s a pretty aggressive wheel for factory front guards when you factor in the necessary hub converter,  so 25mm wider fenders from SRS-Tec had to be shipped in with an SRS-Tec front lip while he was at it. With chunky Dunlop Direzza tyres fitted, it’s looking real good. Adam says, “The mods were chosen around the wheels. I wanted a meaty, fat look.” If you’re a fan, grab the hi-res version here.
