The titles Gran Turismo and Forza Motorsports are synonymous amongst all automotive enthusiast, but what some of you might not know is that there is a new kid on the block; Project Cars.

Project Cars has been in development by British video game developer Slightly Mad Studios for a few years now and funding for the game was raised by the community and the developers themselves, without the financial aid of a traditional publisher.

By purchasing the game in alpha stage, users could contribute to the development of Project Cars including content creation, quality assurance and marketing media. Users were also rewarded with special perks depending on the package they bought which ranged from AI players being named after you to custom liveries based on the users input.

You’ve probably seen post a few updates of Project Cars on our social media pages, that’s becuase we were lucky enough to have purchased the game during the alpha launch.

With regular updates and constant consultation with users via the forums, Project Cars will be the first simulator to actually involve the users throughout the entire creation of the game.

As mentioned before, Project Cars relies on users for marketing media and JonZ from the World of Mass Development Forum never disappoints. Check out JonZ’s latest Project Cars trailer revolving around the Renault’s Megane RS and Clio in 4k! So sit back, turn up the video settings to 2160p (4k) and get ready for Project Cars!

Project Cars is set for release in Australia on March 19th and will be available on Playstation 5, Xbox One, Wii U and PC.
