Yokohama’s World Time Attack Challenge has well and truly established itself as the premiere time attack event, and competition for 2012  is shaping up to be the best yet. Most significant to WTAC’s credibility as a world-class event is the presence of international teams. PanSpeed from Japan in their yellow FD3S RX-7 have been crowd favourites for the last two years, but at this stage aren’t confirmed for 2012. Will we see their return for the third consecutive year?

So far for 2012, three of the four confirmed ‘Pro Class’ entrants are from overseas; Redbrick Racing from the UK in their Lancer Evo, Scorch Racing from Japan with their incredible S15 Silvia and RE Amemiya also from Japan with their never-before-raced ‘Hurricane’ RX-7. Despite it’s unproven status, ‘Hurricane’ took out ‘Best Tuner Car’ at Tokyo Auto Salon last year. The world will be watching to see how it performs in Sydney on August 10th and 11th. We will see you there!
