It may be the middle of winter right now, but that will never stop enthusiasts from getting together. Last weekend JDMYard hosted one of their biggest meets to date, with a little help from JDM Style Tuning and THE-LOWDOWN.com. Despite the cold temperature and bitter wind, the sun was shining and a huge crowd of quality cars turned up.

JDMYard’s nine year history in the car scene has seen them become one of the biggest and most reputable Honda parts suppliers in Australia.

A selection of JDMYard built cars were invited out on the day to be displayed. From left to right is Jing’s DC5, Zico’s EK, Nelson’s DC2 and Yonas’ EG.

It’s safe to say that Yonas’ K24 Civic is one of the best EGs Australia has to offer. The number of setup changes the car has been through are countless. Yonas has showcased the diversity of parts on offer by JDMYard via this ongoing project which isn’t slowing down anytime soon. After its fully fledged feature on Honda Tuning, it’s about to go back into the workshop for fresh aero modifications.

Juzzo’s S14 has featured heavily on the pages of T-LD many times, but still remains one of the biggest crowd pleasers.

The showstopper of the meet was also the best kept secret leading up to the event – Nico’s new Murcielago LP640. Crowds flocked to get a peek at every panel. Nico tells us that similarly to his old Gallardo, the LP640 won’t be staying the same for long. Word has it that ADV.1’s will be ordered shortly.

Sydney was treated to a select few Hondas that aren’t seen out on the streets too often. Zico’s K-swap EK Civic alongside Fung’s supercharged S2000 were especially called upon for this meet by JDMYard, and it was worth it.

Forced induction kits for Honda motors result in some of the most impressive engine bays to look at.

Simon’s recently finished EK also made a notable appearance. Polished off with CCWs, the car closely resembles the infamous Hasback Civic.

The Xtreme Motorsports team have been out in force since their shopfront launch earlier this year. Out on display was their rare Evo IX wagon already sporting new parts including a turbo upgrade, carbon side mirrors, Ralliart front lip and a new ECU. Owner, Joe informs us it’s now pushing out 300awkW.

A special thanks goes out to Yonas and Zi from JDMYard for the organisation and preparation for the meet.

Those who came out on the day were treated to one of the biggest JDM Yard meets ever. No doubt there are bigger and better things to come in the near future.
