Nissan’s ‘Hakosuka’ Skyline could well be the most popular piece of vintage J-tin, ever. Word has it there are only seven of these Japanese beauties in the land downunder. One of them is owned by our mate, Kevin, and we love seeing it (and hearing it) out on the circuit. These snapshots come from a track day at Wakefield Park earlier in the year.
Kevin’s Skyline enjoys fame around the internet thanks to his incredible build threads on multiple forums and websites. Few people are as dedicated to quality online documentation as he is.
With a trio of side-draft Weber carburettors clinging to the side, the L28 up front makes a very healthy 148rwkW (198hp). To date, Kev has managed to pilot the Hako to a 1’13.9s lap around Wakefield. More than respectable for a car of its age, and it looks so good while doing it!
