Why is that Hondas turn people against each other quicker than you can say ‘VTEC’? These days the worldwide Honda scene is teeming with builds of other-worldly quality and attention to detail. It’s got to be the most competitive niche as well, with every second Civic owner setting out to build a car that will one-up every other Civic that has come before it. All that is a little over the top for us, but here in Australia we’ve got more than our fair share of world-class Hondas.
These three EG Civics are part of the crew known as FFamily. For those wondering, front-engined front-wheel drive cars are given the designation FF, which is where the FFamily name comes from.
You won’t see any of these cars staying the same for long, with parts swapping hands in the blink of an eye, but that’s the nature of these cars and their constant evolution. There’s never a dull moment. Emilio’s Work CR-01s are a hit with us.
Yonas’ car was the first to receive a K-series swap in Australia and has since gone from all-motor drag car, to circuit car, to boosted all-rounder. Battleship grey has never looked so good!
This little sample of the FFamily squadron is just a small piece of what’s to come. If everyone could take a leaf out of the pages of their book we’d all have better presented engine bays, that’s for sure!
Mmmmh nice, have allways been a fan of the lightweight and quick EG chassis. specially when beefed up. great stuff 🙂
