Aston Martin has one simple mission, to make the most beautiful cars in the world. The all new DB11 represents their pursuit by bringing to market the next generation in design, engineering and craftsmanship.

DB11 is an important model for Aston Martin, as it marks the new CEO’s direction for the brands second century plan. This involves seven new models over seven years, with DB11 being the first contender.

The powerhouse of the new model is a 5.2 litre twin turbocharged V12, which is capable of pushing to 600BHP through three dynamic modes including GT, Sport and Sport Plus (our favourite of the lot).

Highlights from the new design language includes an all new one piece clamshell hood, which is the largest ever built for a production sports car.

Another interesting feature is the new Aeroblade on the rear, which generates downforce without a wing. It does this by directing air to the DB11’s C-pillar, then channeling into the ducts of the bodywork and through an opening on the rear decklid. Excess air sifts through a deployable rear spoiler which will raise at higher speeds.

Suspension is handled by Bilstein shocks, whilst Brembo brakes will assist in putting the car to a halt. The new wheel arches further exemplify the aerodynamic cues of DB11.

Perhaps the most striking identity of any Aston Martin is its instantly recognisable grille and DB11 pays homage to this classic feature.

Final key specifications include a rear, mid mounted ZF eight speed automatic gearbox, limited slip differential and a fully catalysed stainless steel exhaust system.

am-2

The new DB11 will produce 447kW at 6,500 rpm and is capable of a 0 – 100 km/h sprint in just 3.9 seconds.
