Sydney is home to many different styles of modified cars, it’s not uncommon to cross paths with different genres of vehicles in the city on a Saturday night. There is one unique group though, who base their vehicle choices on the higher end European market tourers. We’ve all probably been in the predicament at one point or another where we wish for a car to simply get us around, without the heavy clutch and the loud exhaust, Suri’s 5 Series is that perfect complement, a cruiser to get around in style. This is what Sydney’s infamous Absolute Crew is all about, and this is what one of the founders gets around in.

When thinking about the 5-series, we generally picture a well off business graduate, whose car incorporates the latest in technology and features which will one day become the standards of the next era. It’s for this reason that Sydney Uni seemed the perfect place to approach for this shoot, following Suri’s graduation with you guessed it – a Business Accounting degree. “The car was purchased brand new during mid 2008”, Suri tells us. “I only finished modifying the car late last year. In 2009 my licence got suspended for one year, so that essentially gave me a year and a half to modify and enjoy the car, I graduated the following year after purchasing the vehicle.”

The car has undergone different forms of cosmetic upgrades from all angles. Up front, Suri’s changed the front bar to Rieger with M5 carbon side mirrors. The grille was then changed to matte black, with a glimpse of the RPI Ram Air Intake scoop peeping through it. The BMW halo front lights have also been modified, setting the statement that this car demands serious attention.

Moving on to the rear, Suri sourced a Rieger Rear bar to match the front, with the snug fit Remus Quad Exhaust popping through the rear valence. Suri’s then added a AC Schnitzer carbon boot spoiler and roof spoiler to complement the Carbon theme throughout the car.

By having a high-end base to begin with, the first things Suri sourced were his wheels and suspension. The wheel choice with Suri’s car was one of the most important aspects to decide on. Suri’s decision proved right though, when he decided to settle with these Work Varianza T1S’ which complement the car perfectly, 20 x 8.5 up front, with 20 x 10.5 sitting on the rear. This is the daily static height Suri gets around on, with D2 coilovers hidden above those wheels.

Jump into the drivers seat and the custom steering wheel is probably one of the first things you’ll notice. Based on the M5 steering wheel, Suri’s modified his one with red and blue stitching, with the carbon look BMW badge. Topped off with Hamann pedal sets and E-Brake, the interior of this 5 is the place to be.

It doesn’t quite matter whether this car is spotted during business hours in the city or the early hours of a Sunday morning leaving the club; this 5-series has a presence on the road which is noticed by everyone it crosses paths with.  Enjoy the rest of the images below, and judge the car for yourself in our comments section at the end of the article!
