The rumor from motoring.com.au is that Nissan is looking at expanding the GT-R’s reach by potentially offering a four-door version in addition to the two-door.
The inside word is that the two-door version will remain under the Nissan brand whilst the high-performance sedan will be badged as an Infiniti.
The new GT-R will most likely be based off the Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge concept car that was released at last years Geneva International Motor Show. The Q50 Eau Roguge concept was equipped with the current GT-R’s twin-turbo V6 along with a 7-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Claiming an output of 560HP which is enough for a 0-100km/h time in under 4.0 seconds.
We’re expecting to see the debut of the next gen GT-R soon along with the confirmation of a four-door version. We’re very excited to see another manufacturer in the mix to compete with the European powerhouses Mercedes-AMG, BMW M and Audi RS models.
