Recently, Round 2 of the CAMS Supersprint Championship took place at Sydney’s Eastern Creek Raceway. The supersprint theory is quite simple – take your road registered car to a series of race track meets and compete in various sprints, the quickest sprint of the day wins. With a couple of the cars racing on the day also confirmed for WTAC 2011, this event was ideal for competitors to begin testing their cars and start gearing up for this years World Time Attack Challenge. We’ve spotted Jason Naidoo and his Evo out on the track a number of times now and it’s no secret that he’s been prepping his car for this years WTAC. He’s proven many times now that driver skill and knowledge is a major contributing factor to getting quicker out there, sprinting a 1:41:510 on the day.
Nicholas Kalis’ Piazza Doro Racing Evo (also known as QV Bar Evo) is no stranger to Eastern Creek or the Time Attack scene, laying down consistent fast lap times with 1:38:805 his best sprint of the day.
Elliot Caras’ S2000 lapped in a new personal best of 1:51:48, we’ve seen this S2000 go through a few changes of late, noticeably missing in the image above is the wing which was removed due to regulations.
