With a week gone by since our combined meet with JDM Style Tuning, we’ve had time to reflect on the cars and the people that made it out to take part. We were overwhelmed by the number of you that showed up, and the mood overall was perfect throughout the day.
A week ago now, some of the finest street cars in Sydney set foot in the complex of Autotechnik, in the Sydney suburb of Prestons. From Japanese to European, lowriders and classics, to motorbikes and bicycles, it was great to see such diverse tastes come together.
Peter from Bodyform left the crowd speechless bringing down his own widebody RX-7 and two customers cars – Michael Zomaya’s Lancer Evolution (from our recent feature) and a spectacular Renault Yellow RX-7, whick took out the ‘Autotechnik Favourite’ on the day. The prize included AME merchandise, WEDS gear and a free photoshoot!
The wide range of cars played a big part in making this meet a success. These two lowriders rolled in, the Lincoln with it’s nose down, and applause could be heard from the other side of the entrance.
Owner of Autotechnik, Budi, is an official distributor of AME wheels, WEDS, 3D Design, Project Kics and many other quality manufacturers. Having the meet at his complex felt fitting.
Budi’s SLK has been tweaked with iForged wheels and a host of AMG bits including front and rear bars, exhaust and more. Stay tuned for our feature on this car to find out the details.
A special thanks to Budi from Autotechnik for offering his complex and Justin from JDMST for letting us host this one! Most of all thanks to those who came out and offered all the support. Hopefully we’ll have another one organised in the near future.
Photographer, Philip Nguyen, was on board to get these incredible shots from the day. In our eyes he has captured the mood perfectly. Be sure to check out more of his amazing work.
