A Preview of the 2015 Formula 1 Season Livery

In just over two weeks, Melbourne will be hosting the start of what is the pinnacle motorsport event in the world. We’re talking about none other than the official 2015 Formula 1 season.

The opening race is held at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia. This year’s race will mark the 20th consecutive year that Albert Park has hosted a Formula 1 race and potentially the last (If FIA does not renew the contract).

With the teams currently testing in Barcelona, it looks like Mercedes are still the team to beat with Williams not far behind last years constructors champions. The practice times also show that Ferrari and Red Bull are much closer to each other than last year and will be fighting behind the Mercedes and Williams.

Further down the grid McLaren Honda have been struggling during testing. We were hoping the returned partnership between McLaren and Honda would ignite the success they had back in the late 80’s and early 90’s along with their livery, unfortunately that hasn’t happened (not this year anyway).

The livery for 2015 hasn’t changed dramatically over last year with Sauber being the only team to dramatically change their livery. McLaren Honda has also renewed their livery but are looking quite bare without a major sponsor. Red Bull have just released their official livery and we’re sad to say (as predicted) they’ve ditched the camo and went with their traditional livery.

What’s your favourite livery for 2015?
