Porsche Unveils A Turbocharged 911 Carrera For 2016

Porsche has officially unveiled its new 911 Carrera for 2016. Being the world’s best selling sports car for decades now, they have finally answered the prayers of potential customers with a turbocharged engine.

The completely new engine configuration features a bi-turbo, intensifying the experience to 272kW (370HP) at the rear of the 911 Carrera and 309kW (420HP) in the Carrera S.

In both models, this represents a power increase of 15kW (20HP) contributed by the turbo with modified compressors, a specified exhaust system and tuned engine management.

Exterior wise, the 911 Carrera has been visually refined for 2016. This ranges from new headlights with four-point daytime running lights to door handles without recess covers. A redesigned rear lid features vertical louvres and new rear lights have been added.

Thanks to the Porsche-Doppelkupplung (PDK) gearbox and Sport Chrono Package, the new 911 Carrera sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

The new Porsche 911 Carrera models will launch at Germany in December this year. Expect to see them in showrooms sometime in 2016.
